"This was taken at the top of the mountain, approximately 1230 on the 28th of July 2010, and was the only photo I could take due to the weather. Of course I have no way of knowing exactly how strong the winds were, but will tell you that they were very high (Typhoon strength with rain – no trees or cover on the mountain so you can imagine). Of the 6 stations I passed coming up, all of them told me the trail was closed and that it was very dangerous--Again, my one chance to climb so I continued.

Your hat made all the difference. I simply tilted my head towards the wind slightly, letting the brim provide protection against the wind and pelting rain. I utilized the leather chin strap the entire way and it held strong, even after getting tugged numerous times as the wind caught the brim and tried to rip the hat from my head. Thank God it did hold because the hat would have been gone had it came my head.

My family has returned stateside while I was in Mainland Japan assisting with the recent Earthquake and Tsunami. Since she had to organize the move by herself I am not blaming her for packing my hat, just need to get another one. I use the hat regularly to protect my head from the elements (Sun, rain, or whatever) and will be standing by waiting for this one to arrive."

Pro-Trim Material is made from a patented, cold bendable vinyl typically used for construction. Unlike canvas, Pro-Trim cleans up easily. Heat penetration is virtually non-existent on white. Fab shop installation with ordinary hand tools minimizes costly labor. Thus, a substantial savings is experienced by the fab shop.

Various trim edgings are available. Grommetable. Economical overall cost is less than canvas.

This product is an excellent replacement for boat canvas. Unlike canvas Pro-Trim repels heat; permitting tops to be very close overhead. This closeness gives total overhead sun protection.

Pro-Trim is very durable. Canvas shops are finding this material enjoyable to work with. It grommets easily and is substantially stronger than canvas.

Pro-Trim Bimini Material is bird proof and waterproof. It will remain new looking after many washings. Any detergent or vinyl cleaner will work. Oh, yes, it’s also 100% UV stabilized.
